Whether it’s with stress, feelings of depression or anxiety, grief, trauma, family demands, or trying to find a sense of purpose in uncertain times, counseling is a way to center yourself while learning ways to cope and honor the whole you. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 14 years experience working with individual adults struggling with mental health and substance use issues. I respect each of my clients as the unique person they are while working with them to achieve their goals toward becoming a more holistic person. I use various techniques to work with you including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness and grounding, brain-body connection, as well as short-term, brief interventions; in effect, I use an eclectic approach to ensure your goals are achieved. If requested, faith-based can be incorporated as well.
Our confidential, therapeutic relationship will be one of trust, respect, and comfort while working through issues that are either life-long or more recent. Our time together will be a conversation of what you would like to focus on or change in your life to heal and encourage hope for a better self. We will also identify and build on your inner strengths while changing negative messages that keep you from being a happier, more fulfilled you.
